Promotional Emails
Each month a seasonal, promotional offer was sent out for each property to a segmented list.
Sent out in January, this email went to prior guests living in a colder climate encouraging the to book a vacation in sunny, warm Orlando.After consulting with a focus group of past guests, I learned none of them were aware Flordays had a return guest promotion. Additionally, the overwhelming majority wanted free breakfast. I amended the promo to include free breakfast and sent it out to everyone with an email on file. In just one day, the email generated $100K in revenue. Sent out in late November, this email went out to past guests (21+) living in cold climates encouraging them to book a trip to Orlando to escape winter.
Newsletters
In addition to the promo emails, monthly newsletters were sent out for each property highlighting upcoming Orlando events with promotions coinciding with those events or those not included in the promotional emails.
Sent out in September to highlight the Halloween events happening in Orlando. I chose Universal Studio’s Halloween Horror Nights was the featured event as The Avanti’s guests tended to be young adults and the event may be too scary for children. It also included a promotion for extra encouragement.Sent out in late October, this newsletter served as The Point’s Thanksgiving “Thank You” promotion for their prior guests. It showed the new fall drinks at the property and highlighted events happening around Orlando. Additionally, it offered a Thanksgiving recipe and restaurants accepting reservations for Thanksgiving day dinner.
